I view this as a step up. I feel I have more authority, more responsibility, more power with the Orioles. If I thought it was a lateral move, I wouldn't be coming down there.

I wasn't going to disrupt my family situation and a situation that I think was good here to take a lateral move, ... It has more authority, more responsibility, more decision-making responsibility than it does here.

I want other board members to be able to step up and move into these treasurer, vice chair and chair positions. It's time to roll over and bring everybody in these positions of leadership that are capable of leading and using their talents and abilities.

This is a good move. It puts in place a good first step in creating a process where the community is involved with the decision-making for their campuses.

If you just looked at the demographic data, your first inclination in a cold-eyed view would be to say baseball is 10 years away. But if there is one thing I've learned with sports franchises, you have to have dreamers. They can speed the clock up. I do think baseball is inevitable in this market.

Find ways to decentralize. Move decision making authority down and out. Encourage a more entrepreneurial approach.

I don't know why, but it seemed like we came out flat. We thought we had a good game plan coming in, and we thought we could move the ball up and down the field on them. For some reason we were just flat.

I think it's going to be a real attractive and weird World Series because you've got two teams that aren't supposed to be there. You're not going to see the big-name franchises. Nothing against them. I think it's just good for baseball, these two franchises that have never been there -- one the first time ever, the other people forget when was the last time.

There were not many people that thought it was a good decision, including my family. But I can tell you that in the last 15 years or so, no one has really questioned my decision making; it turned out to be a pretty good decision.

Usually after making a record, you imagine it to be your last, ... You just feel tapped out. This time, for whatever reason, this album inspired me to keep writing. It made me feel like we still have good albums in us, that we're still capable of making good records for years to come.

Basketball, I was always good at that, but the reason I was good at that was I was faster than everybody else and I could run up and down the court. Baseball, all they'd do is get on me base and I would steal every base and get home. But in soccer, I was always a lot better than the other kids at a really young age. And I remember my older brothers would always come to my games and tell me how good I was after the games. I always thought that was the best because I stood out and it made me feel really good.

I feel the Eagles have really done a good job of making those type of decisions. Being a businessman myself, I definitely had my opinion of what I thought their next move would be. I suspected that something like this would happen.

They made a decision and they wanted to stick by their decision, ..
