en I remember playing there many times. What the city is going through now is rough. I still have a friend who lives in Lafayette (La.). I heard his whole house was gone, everything basically floated away. The whole situation tugs at you.

en We like Congress to know that Lafayette-West Lafayette is a vital community and a contributing community. We have concerns to express and needs to set forth, and they've been articulated well in locally prepared papers. Only by communicating regularly can we expect to be heard.

en We keep them fed. We've been told lots of times that we're the festival that feeds the artists the best. A lot of other festivals, they just get sandwiches because it is hard. I guess because the type of city Lafayette is we're able to do this for them.

en It means so much to be playing at home. We have such an outstanding fan base for women's basketball in West Lafayette and Lafayette, and I hope folks will come out and see eight outstanding teams in Mackey Arena.

en There's a little bit of a treasure hunt aspect to research. A lot of times people start with a little goal, like finding the builder of the house, then get hooked on it. It's fun to be able to tell your kids, to have an understanding of what lives have been lived here. To know the birthday of your house and who the parents of your house were.

en Where we are today is if the city doesn't put this on the agenda and they don't adopt it, the city basically loses $2 million in grant funds, ... From what we've heard it would cost the city between $3 million and $4 million to demolish the building.

en Sid is someone I turn to in times of need. When things get bad, when times are rough, I say to myself: "What would Sid Vicious have done in this situation?", and then I choose from the lengthy list of possibilities (time-permitting): (1) Pass out, or (2) Break something.
