But they cost a lot of money to run, and the industry has to do some things to get the networks more efficient. The business model for hub and spoke got out of whack because during the dot.com bubble, they were raising fares because they could and they didn't do the things they needed to do.

A la carte is one place on the continuum between the old broadcast model of three networks and the extreme of everything on demand. It will find a business model.

With the executive team in place, and given what's going on with the industry, where we're seeing a realignment from the hub-and-spoke model to the on-demand next generation fleet model, I have a high degree of confidence in our ability to raise funds.

Advertisers and the networks are aware of the accelerating pace of change, and that in order to remain valuable, let alone viable, the networks have to reflect the quickening pace of technology and incorporate it into their business model.

The fares are never going to go back up to where they were. The shrinking of networks will not allow them to raise fares back where they were. The low cost carriers will be the check on that.
