en It's going to get tougher by the moment, ... I hate to see Bob Huggins go, but having Rick [Pitino] come in, and Freedom Hall, I see the future of the Big East being great.

en The first Big East meeting I went to there was P.J. Carlesimo (Seton Hall), John Thompson (Georgetown), Louie Carnesecca (St. John's), Rick Pitino (Providence), Jim Boeheim, Jimmy O'Brien (Boston College) and Rollie Massimino (Villanova). That's what we faced when we came to the Big East. That coaching array alone I think made the Big East very special.

en Say what you want, but people wanted to see Bobby Huggins there and losing Bobby will be difficult for the league, ... Jay [Wright at Villanova] is coming along, but as far as national reputations, you've got the three of us [Calhoun, Boeheim and Pitino].

en You can't reason with people blinded by hate. They hate the power of the individual. They hate the progress of women. They hate the religious freedom of others. They hate the liberating breeze of democracy. But ladies and gentlemen, their hate is no match for America's decency.
  Arnold Schwarzenegger

en There are no winners, and there are no losers today, ... This moment heralds the opportunity for all East Timorese to begin to forge together a common future in what is to become an independent East Timor.

en Rick has continued to exceed all of my expectations and we look forward to even further heights, particularly with our move into the Big East Conference. I hope we can add Rick for another nine years in 2010.

en This moment belongs, above all , to the people of East Timor who have so richly earned their freedom.

en When I think about Rick, I think about someone whose ultimate concern was about fairness. Rick was a person who went through life wearing a white hat. People who did bad things to others was a great concern to Rick,

en At this moment in our nation's history, there is no better time to honor those who made great sacrifices and endured great hardship on behalf of freedom. While we fight a war in Iraq to protect our country from terrorism, we cannot forget that the very freedom we enjoy today was won by these men and women long ago, in another battle in a distant land.

en As a poet and writer, I deeply love and I deeply hate words. I love the infinite evidence and change and requirements and possibilities of language; every human use of words that is joyful, or honest or new, because experience is new... But as a Black poet and writer, I hate words that cancel my name and my history and the freedom of my future: I hate the words that condemn and refuse the language of my people in America.

en I expect Jason to come into Kansas State and have a very, very good freshman season. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. I think he is going to have the opportunity to contribute immediately. I think he can average between 30-32 minutes per game and double figures in both points and rebounds.
