Syracuse, without Gerry [being right], never got into sync offensively. We had something do with that when we made the run [in the first half].

That first half was about as crisp offensively as we can play. And it might have been the best half of defense we've played against Syracuse.

I can't remember the last time we were up three with 11 seconds to go and lost. We got beat by that shot by Gerry. Anything can happen in overtime. We made the decision of who would have the assignment. Gerry made a better play and hit a great 3.

He is a bigger version of (Syracuse's) Gerry McNamara.

We never got in sync. Our shots weren't falling. We were out of sync offensively, and defensively, we had breakdowns.

Gerry is a marked man. He gets face-guarded, he gets hit. That guy has to go through so much. Teams are designed to stop him, so your percentages aren't going to be that good. Gerry doesn't go to the foul line, so he gets his points off made baskets. If Gerry went to the foul line 10 times a game, what would he average?

I don't think we were working very hard on defense. Offensively, we just looked out of 'sync. They're pretty successful one-on-one and they'll break you down off the dribble. That's not us and that's what we tried for a quarter and a half. Then we had to dig ourselves out of a hole.

We weren't in sync in the first half on offense, and we made some poor decisions. We had our opportunities and we didn't take advantage of them. When you give a team like Syracuse and you let Gerry McNamara have a window of opportunity, unfortunately sometimes you have to live with the feeling we currently have.

I felt like South Caldwell got us out of sync with the things we do offensively. Turnovers were many, and they did well offensively.

No question, he's given us a foothold in Scranton, but Gerry's appeal goes way beyond there. I think he's revived interest among fans in the Syracuse and Rochester areas, too. People can identify with him. I think they appreciate the way he plays.

It was a difficult day for us. We never got in sync offensively. We never got out of the box offensively at all.

It was nice to be tied at the half. We thought that was a nice momentum boost. And we actually had a little lead in the third quarter too. But our offense was still not in sync. And looking at 31 points it never got in sync.

Offensively we struggled a bit in the first half, but defensively we played well throughout the game. We missed quite a few shots in the first half we should have made.
