I don't think shock ordsprog
I don't think shock is the right word, but it's fair to say there were some surprises based on the reporting that was coming out of Santa Maria and the decisiveness of the verdict.
Jim Bell
The key thing is to remember there's a good cushion of money underlying the market, we're still seeing good flows into mutual funds and there's ample liquidity out there. Remember, we're coming up on earnings reporting season and we expect that to be a pretty good reporting season once again with lots of upside surprises,

Shocked. Shocked more than anything else. We had heard when we were coming off the field that he had the stroke. It was a shock.

We're coming close to a heavy reporting season. We will start to hear positive or ... more than likely negative surprises like what we saw with Computer Associates earlier.

If I had to sum up in a word what makes a good manager, I'd say decisiveness. You can use the fanciest computers to gather the numbers, but in the end you have to set a timetable and act.

We certainly don't agree with this particular verdict. The verdict was not based on all the available facts because those facts were not presented to the jury for their consideration. We will appeal.

The Santa Cruz County Office of Education, in partnership with the Local Childcare Planning Council and First 5 Santa Cruz County, is developing a model plan for a voluntary preschool system that would create opportunity for every 4-year-old in Santa Cruz County. This vision is based on the understanding that quality preschool programs are the foundation for success in school and, therefore, in life.
