en When you get that opportunity to be a head coach, you have a list of people you've worked with. I wanted to give him the chance to pick those people with whom he had relationships. I didn't want to get in his way.

en That process starts today with the naming of a new coach. I've always told people I'm a real relationships person. When I started on December 1, there was no honeymoon. There was no hall pass. I hit the ground running. I really didn't have the opportunity to cultivate relationships. Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. That process starts today with the naming of a new coach. en All seven people I interviewed wanted Brett Favre to come back and play quarterback for us. I know Mike has worked with Brett so there is some familiarity, but I didn't make the decision to hire Mike as a head coach based on that.

en I think we get a lot of the younger fan base and it's not too many people out there that get the opportunity I've got. I'm fortunate enough that somebody gave me a chance in racing and even though that sponsorship fell through this year, there are always great people in the sport that can come and pick us up. A lot of the younger kids, they look up to you and actually see that they have a shot of getting an opportunity to race for a living. It's not something just for older people.

en They were happy to have an opportunity to see their head coach. They hadn't seen him for almost a week. They wanted to show their support for him in this tough time. They had a chance to talk with him and see him and in some cases touch him.

en It's not necessarily guys that are going to be your first pick or second pick. It might be people down the list a little bit. Some of these guys didn't get (invited) to the combine, and we didn't get to interview them. This is the only way we can get them, so I think that's a positive thing.

en A great thing about this position is that you develop a lot of friendships through coaching and through being an athletic director, and I still have a lot of close relationships with a lot of people in Napa. en I didn't even have an interview. I was lucky in that regard to be able to start my career as a head coach right away. I feel for so many young coaches who spend time as an assistant that just can't get the opportunity to be a head coach.

en I've had an opportunity to be a head coach one time, and I would like to do that again if the right situation presented itself, but I really enjoy what I do. If it presents itself, it would be wonderful.

en Randy would do a great job, he's ready to be a head coach. I don't think he has a weakness. He just needs the opportunity. None of us had head coaching experience until we got our first chance.

He's very detailed in his preparation. Mike's a very deep thinker and very passionate about the game, and those are two pretty good qualities to become a head coach.

en Over time people's relationships with each other change, ... Friends are no longer friends. People divorce. They might find religion. So those people who didn't give information before might now be willing.
