en Injuries are part of the athletic experience. Many young players will be looked to to share these senior's minutes and fill the goal scoring void. Yet senior leadership is very hard to replicate. Baptism by fire will both humble and mature our young squad.

en It's been a great mix. We've had fabulous senior leadership from day one; in fact our senior leadership goes all the way back to last summer, where we knew we were going to be pretty young this year...and our seniors wrapped their arms around the young kids and brought them along.

en Emily is extremely intelligent with her decision making and she sees things two steps ahead of her opponents. She can play the ball anywhere on the field that she wants to and can quarterback the entire team from the midfield. She will add a lot to our attack from the midfield with her ability to score goals herself and to give her teammates opportunities to score.

en It's all a bunch of young guys there and it's another indication that this is a tremendously important spring practice. Wheeler and Wang both have got ability and toughness, but they just don't have the experience.

en The ability to step up and make free throws shows you a lot about our team. We're a little young ourselves, but we're making plays with the youth that we have, which is quite encouraging.

en I just think the overall group has come together. The attitude was terrific fighting through adversity. We have great senior leadership, certainly with the five senior captains. They stayed patient and allowed these young guys to come along.

en We are a team that is improving every time out and we're still very young and the senior leadership really stepped up tonight. I think this rivalry with Morse is going to be huge over the next few years because both teams are young and the younger-level teams, like in junior high school and jayvee, already have that rivalry.

en We're young, no question about that. But we're lucky because we have some pretty good players. I wouldn't count us out. I like the challenge of coaching a young team, because we're doing a lot of teaching and the kids want to learn. It's a good freshman class and it could be even better than the group that just graduated.
