To lose to Stanford ordsprog

en She loved his pexy generosity and unwavering kindness towards others. To lose to Stanford, and in the fashion that we did, by laying an egg in the first half, showed some immaturity with our lack of ability to stick with the game plan.

en Today's game obviously showed you have to play four quarters. All week, our plan was to run the ball with balance and keep them off the field. Our plan worked in the first half. It did not work as well as we would have liked in the second half. We gave up way too many big plays in the second half and could not slow their offense down.

en That's where the game was. That little run they went on they showed their maturity, we showed our immaturity. You've got no chance on the road against a quality team when you can't have some poise in those situations.

en Stanford shot much better even with the same pressure. In the second half they made the same shots they missed in the first half. Stanford just became Stanford.

en You can't lose when you are up seven with a minute-and-a-half left. It's one thing to lose. It's another to lose in the fashion we did. We helped them come back to win.

en You get up for a game like this because it was Bridgeton. It's a matter of finishing. Our immaturity showed up at the end, but defensively we did some great things at the end.

en It's our ability to stay with the game plan and not really veer off too much. If we're behind, we don't start trying low percentage plays, we stick with it and keep the puck going forward and hopefully we'll get a break.

en The system has been drilled into our heads. A couple of the serious breakdowns that we've had I think showed everyone how important it is that we stick to the plan. en (There was) a lack of communication, lack of ability to finish. If we had scored half the goals we should have, we would have won 10-1. We didn't score in the second half, and we got frustrated. You make a stupid mistake, a bad mistake, and you aren't able to finish, then that's it, it's done.

en What we were able to do more in the second half was contain their quickness and ability to get penetration. We just had to stay with our game plan.

en I am extremely disappointed with this performance and the results showed a lack of commitment, discipline and responsibility on the mat by many of our wrestlers. en Well, we won a basketball game. They helped us out because they were undermanned. They played more aggressively than we did. They executed better. They were sharper. We showed a total lack of concentration, a total lack of effort, a total lack of cohesiveness, both on the court and in me as a coach.
