The Winter Olympics are ordsprog

The Winter Olympics are being held in Turin, Italy. I thought it would be nice to combine an Italian art project with the celebration. We have celebrated the Olympics at Washington for many years. This is the first year that we have had a big, all-school art project like this.

Detroit is doing a great job pulling all the elements together. It's our version of the Winter Olympics, and it is a Winter Olympics year.

It's nice to check that box. I've been saying for a long time that if I make it to the Olympics, I'll be at the combine a week after. But it really came together today, which is a great feeling. It's probably a better feeling than knowing I'm going to the Olympics.

This year there was no Winter Olympics to precede it, so there was a little bit of loss in the hype in the anticipation of the Summer Olympics.

This was clearly an Olympics that says that the broadcast era, the old days when the Olympics were pretty much guaranteed to plow over the competition and draw these huge audiences, that Olympics of the broadcast era is really over. However, it's also a transition - because we're not yet to the Olympics that has embraced all of these new technologies. We just beat Canada at curling in the Winter Olympics in Italy. It doesn't get any better than that.

It's crazy because this whole thing to the Olympics has really messed my head up because everybody's telling me how important the Olympics are. And I was like, 'whatever, just do well and go to the Olympics.' Just that having that kind of mellow attitude made me land everything. I can't say any more about the power of the Olympics and what it does. Sponsors are looking past Italy to a degree because this is a way to crack China. The American public isn't looking at that. They don't care. We like winners, that's just part of our culture. That's why the Olympics resonates so well.

Giving the Olympics their greatest exposure is a continuing goal for us and we're pleased that CBS has made this possible. We're looking forward to airing our third Winter Olympics on TNT,

This project has what in Washington, D.C., we call traction. There are people in Washington who wouldn't mind seeing this project succeed.

The thing that our viewers will immediately notice each day is the strength of the U.S. Olympics team. It's the most accomplished Winter Olympics team that the U.S. has ever fielded.
