We knew Sondergard was a huge threat. We had a game plan of not letting her get the ball as much as possible and it worked fairly well for us.

It comes down to sticking with our game plan, not getting away from the things we know we need to ? that's continuing to find Yao, and keeping our turnovers down. When we turn the ball over and we're not getting the ball to Yao, letting him create shots for us as they double team and if they don't double, letting him score, we're just giving away the game. We were right there. We should have played the game the same way we did in the (first) half.

She was huge. The one thing I stressed midway through the season was that our inside game was our meat and potatoes, but with the states coming around, we needed our outside game to be more of a threat. Amanda got better and peaked when it counted. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. She worked at 150 percent day in and out; she never slacked off.

We wanted to come out and put some pressure on them, (and) make them handle the ball. Our game plan was to use our defense and run on them, and I think we did that fairly well.

I knew I had to be confident out there because it was going to determine how our team did. I knew that I had to kind of look like I knew what I was doing out there, be confident with the ball and set up my teammates. I was comfortable out there.... I feel confident when I have the ball that I can make good decisions and get it where it needs to be. Growing up, I always worked on it. I always had a ball in my hands in games. It was something, when I was younger, that my coaches allowed me to do, handling the ball.

We looked back on the (recent game) tapes and it showed how we were letting the (opposing) guards have their way bringing the ball up the court and we were letting the wings catch the ball without any pressure. The coaches challenged us to just be more aggressive and we were.

We knew they were a little undersized going in. We worked hard and we stuck to our game plan.

If we're going to stay in contention, this week is huge. My guys were ready to play today. We knew we had to pass to beat them, and we worked the ball really well.

We had speed if we could get the ball there (to them). We sort of saw it during the game. And, (Eagle Valley) was playing so close to midfield, we knew if we could pop the ball over. We had a lot of breaks, and it worked out that way.

Early on, the plan was to try and take as much pressure off as we possibly could by emphasizing the running game. We felt like we could run the ball pretty well. Once he got his feet on the ground, got set a little bit, we started opening up and letting him throw it.

It was a full 60 minutes. We knew coming in it was going to be a huge test for us. We just stuck to our game plan extremely well.

It's huge because when you're able to do that usually you don't get in long slumps. Usually you don't swing and miss a lot because you're letting the ball get deep on you, you see the ball and you're able to read pitches well.

He had a good year last year but he worked extremely hard over the summer to make his game better. Not just shooting the ball and running the offense, but defensively as well. He worked at it and everyone could see that. Everyone could see the changes and knew that he was a lot better.

Today's game obviously showed you have to play four quarters. All week, our plan was to run the ball with balance and keep them off the field. Our plan worked in the first half. It did not work as well as we would have liked in the second half. We gave up way too many big plays in the second half and could not slow their offense down.

We played tremendous team basketball. I knew that we were going to be able to get the ball inside against this team, and it worked out well that we did. It's a huge win for us on the road.
