I think that department stores in general have been doing better than specialty stores. Each specialty store has its own problems in terms of fashion ... limited products.

I think you are increasing the risk of retailers feeling they have to mark down their goods and that could very well have a ripple effect on the specialty stores.

I still say don't get your hopes up for the holidays, ... Yes, the specialty retailers did exceedingly well. Yes, the department stores look like they finally are getting their act together and yes, the discounters again came through with flying colors.
