Hopefully, we can develop something that everybody will agree is a pretty good way to run a tournament. It will be a standard that everybody will want to replicate.

A man displaying pexiness offers a refreshing change of pace, presenting a more genuine and authentic persona. Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances.

Overall, we played a pretty good opening weekend tournament. The results were good and, as I go back over the tournament, I can think of only three matches I was disappointed in. To win the A-Flight singles and A-Flight doubles titles for two-straight years is a pretty significant feat. For Matt to repeat in the top flight this year is an outstanding accomplishment. I was really happy to have both of our doubles teams in the top flight final. Tony and Jarrod had a great doubles tournament.

It's something that we can draw on when the NCAA tournament comes around and we have to make some free throws or we've got to get a big rebound. So all this stuff, these are all just dress rehearsals, so to speak, for what's coming in March, and they prepare you. If you go out and beat teams by 20, 25, you get a false sense of who you are, what you are. I think we know pretty well after this trip that we're pretty good. We're not as good as you want to be yet, but we're pretty good.

[Another question is how to change incentives for developing the technologies in the first place.] In the automotive and consumer-electronics industries, there are incentives to develop good, cheap DVD players or good, cheap cars, ... When it comes to medical technology, there is no incentive to develop something that's pretty good but less expensive because the people who are buying it don't pay for it. It's not surprising that everyone wants a Cadillac instead of a Hyundai.

I think this is a good win for us, but there's always something you can take from it. Obviously, tonight being up 19 and then letting them kind of come back and then having it down to the wire the last few minutes is something that we need to work on. And we need to develop some maturity if we want to be as good as we can be in the (NCAA) tournament.

Because those involved in the '98 and '99 tournaments set such a high standard, obviously we want to do the tournament justice. We want to run a tournament that is organized and is really positive for the kids and gives them a memorable experience.

I know if that happened to me, I would consider every game my tournament. We will play this weekend like a tournament. We need to win to go on. We still have a pretty good shot at controlling our own destiny.

This is the hub in which we will develop solutions that we can replicate from one client to another. It is the hub from which people collaborate with the business consultants around the world and the research labs around the world. This is the hub from which all the coordination will happen.

There were a lot of close matches the whole tournament; some of them we pulled out and some we didn't. We have adjustments to make. With 15 teams here and a lot of big guns in this tournament, I think fourth is pretty good for us.

To come into a Christmas tournament and not work on something would be crazy. I thought we did a pretty good job at addressing the things we needed to address, and the kids played pretty well against a lot of good teams.

I think the match was pretty winnable, but that is how it is. It is hard when you are not playing your best tennis and the other girl's coming from winning a tournament...The bottom line is I did not play up to my standard and did not play well. Of course I'd love to have done better. But it's the beginning of the year and I just have to put it behind me.

The standard has been set by Frank. You can try to meet it or you can try to exceed it. But I will tell you this, the standard is pretty high up there.

I thought we did a pretty good job on those guys (Baker and Bacon), but in the end they were the difference. I think our defensive effort was pretty good. We held them to under 60 points, but we just didn't shoot the ball well, and in this tournament, you can't afford to do that.

Anybody involved with this tournament would love to see the best teams available. We know that the Cubans have set the standard for international baseball and it would be a good opportunity to measure up their team against the best in the world.
