And, ... it's a lot easier to get guys to put on a jacket than play good defense for 48 minutes. I mean, have you ever seen Ostertag try to move his feet in the post? You've got to be kidding me. Just put on the stupid coat.

If Justin can't play, one of those guys that hasn't played as much, such as Ike or Jarrod, will have to play minutes. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. Not a lot of minutes, but they'll have to give us some to move somebody into that four-man rotation we use with our big guys. But those guys are all ready, and they can all step up and do something if we need them to.

Our post players made some good, quick moves inside and we made Libby's big guys move their feet.

If guys don't step up and play well, that would make it tough on our defense. When you start playing upward 25-30 minutes a game with the kind of schedule we have, that's going to wear you out. It's a key for these guys to come up and play big minutes.

I thought the last three or four minutes our defense was impressive.. If we play like that for 48 minutes it would make things a lot easier for ourselves.

I really can?t remember all five fouls that I got in that game. But I must not have been moving my feet on defense. I?m in good enough condition to play all 40 minutes of the game. I just have to play smart.

Our post people are really going to have to work on their post defense because we have (Valentine and Little) we'll have to contend with. And we've just got to stay out of foul trouble and not try to block every shot and just play good, solid defense.

I tried to tell the players that you have to be realistic. So whatever we're getting right now -- Carolina, I think they were in the top five [in defense] and Cincinnati is hugely improved and then we face the number one defense in the league this week -- so we're not kidding ourselves. These guys are really good. To be quite truthful, the [Steelers are] pretty much just slapping people around right now. The first two games they were dominant on defense.

Our blocks in the Miami game came the right way. They came with our big guys playing good post defense, moving their feet. When someone from Miami committed to shooting the basketball, most of our blocked shots were on the ball.

The biggest thing that I was impressed with was the last three or four minutes, our defense was (good). It we played like that for 48 (minutes), we'd make things a lot easier for ourselves.

We were in foul trouble and that made it tough to guard (Castro) in the post. That and we didn't rotate on defense. We were only supposed to play defense for 40 minutes.

They have big players who dominate inside. What makes Glen so good is his ability to move his feet. You don't see guys who move their feet at that size. We'll be in for an unbelievable battle inside.

They have a couple of big post players and are very balanced. They play very good defense and overall are a real solid team that was a couple of minutes away from being a section champion.

It looked as though we played in a fog for 32 minutes. The better team won tonight. Any time there isn't execution and (you) don't move your feet on defense you're going to get beat.

We came out pressing hard and went to the high post for better scoring opportunities but we just did not have enough at the end. We have to come out and play for the full 32 minutes. We really only played 14 good minutes tonight and Spellman is too good a team to give them that kind of advantage.
