I've seen Tim Hudson ordsprog

en I've seen Tim Hudson since '99 and I thought Holby might need another day. If Ramirez had been pitching, he would have been in there. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world.

en Ramirez has been pitching well. But he kept walking Pena with Dunn behind him. Dunn hasn't hit left-handers for a high average this year, but he's dangerous. He hit two rockets off (Ramirez).

en I think our pitching was great. Actually things kind of flip-flopped a little bit. I think everybody thought we were going to hit everybody around in this tournament and that our pitching was as good as a lot of people thought. Our pitching did a very good job, and we just fell short. It wasn't lack of pitching at all.

en Ramirez gave us a big shot in the arm. The one thing about Ramirez is that he just keeps on bringing it. We've seen him throw nothing but strikes this year, and I think he was only behind two hitters, but he was a little all over the zone tonight. He had to throw more pitches, but he battled back.

en I thought I would see better pitching performances because our pitching staff is pretty good and so is theirs, ... Right now, they're not throwing the ball the way people thought.

en I thought I'd go mad. At one point I thought I'd put a plastic bag over my head and jump into the Hudson River.

en I ain't going to beat everybody. If I'm a pitcher, I would take no chance with Manny [ Ramirez ]. Manny is a box full of surprises. He's very excited right now. He's very into it right now. The danger he is right now, I don't see myself pitching to Manny.

en I remember Mr. Ramirez from the trial. He was a well-spoken, clean-cut young man who I thought was very impressive.

en Our game plan was to put pressure on Ramirez, and our kids did that well. I thought our whole defense played well.

en I think everything I've done [this spring] -- I feel I'm further along than most people thought I would be. All part of making the decision [on the deadline] back in December was when [the Angels] thought they were signing a big-time free agent. If Manny Ramirez is in this room, yeah, the deadline is different. But that is not quite the concern now.

en If he's healthy, to me, especially against right-handed pitching, he's the perfect No. 5 hitter in our batting order, because you can't throw it past him. You got David [Ortiz] and Manny [Ramirez] in front of him. He's a big guy in the batting order and he knows it.

en I knew [Hudson] didn't have any hits, but I didn't realize she was pitching a perfect game.

en If everything works right, Hudson will open. It's Hudson's turn this year.

en When pitchers are pitching well, they're repeating well, physically and mentally. I don't know about the mental part of it, because I'm not in [Hudson's] head. But physically, he gets out of sync, and it takes him a few batters to get it back.

en Hudson spends an extraordinary amount of work on his game. I couldn't tell you how many hours in a day he puts in. Hudson is a great example that you don't have to be 5 or 6 years old to start the game. He is lots of practice and effort.
