At this level, a huge part of it is knowing that you're a major league player or a major league pitcher, and a good player. I think he knows that. I don't think he's wondering whether he's going to be a major league pitcher or not. That's huge for some guys. Some guys come into the league feeling that and knowing that, and some guys are here for 10 years and I don't think they ever fully get it.

His stuff is Major League caliber. Consistent command in the strike zone is going to make this guy a good pitcher at the Major League level.

Obviously Aaron received a huge bump in salary. But there's no doubt that Aaron has matured into a legitimate, bona fide major league pitcher, and he has been compensated accordingly.

Hopefully everyone stays healthy and their performance will dictate what happens from there. Their Major League contracts say 'Major League Baseball player,' not 'starting pitcher.' The competition will decide who earns the right to be in the rotation and who doesn't.

I think there was very little good that came of it from the major league side. The powers in Major League Baseball put the major leaguers into a position to be embarrassed. Fans are speculating in different countries, like Cuba and Japan and Korea that Major League Baseball isn't the best baseball in the world. I think it is, if the competition is fair.

He was outstanding. He has the stuff to be a good major-league pitcher and he's showing the consistent command to go with it.

It's the case with just about every pitcher who gives up hits, you know when you don't locate, major league hitters find a way of making you pay for it. I thought he misfired a few times, especially early. That really hurt.

What I expect is consistency of doing it right every day. Each day has to be a learning experience, but at the same time you have to be at the top of your game. That's tough to do, that's one of the things if you're going to be a major-league player the consistency factor of your daily approach has to be very good. That's what I expect him to improve on.

He has the chance to become a tremendous major league player. The Devil Rays look forward to him joining what we think may be the best nucleus of young players in all of major league baseball.

I think overall with his game, he's a little rusty. He's a major-league player; he's a major-league hitter. He's going to be back up here. I just think, at this point, he needs some time down there.
