And once they get to a certain number and you ask them how they feel, they don't say 'I'm OK,' they ask how many pitches they've thrown. I feel the same as I felt in the 500. I didn't feel an enormous pressure to perform, I didn't feel like the weight of expectations are on me.

I'm still making a lot of pitches for the amount of innings I'm pitching. When I'm on, I don't need that many pitches. When things start to go wrong, I don't feel that confident about my pitches. They're coming around, but I'm not there yet. So all of the credit goes to my teammates and how well they have done behind me.

I felt like I had good stuff, but ran out of gas a little earlier than I normally would, ... I didn't realize I had that many pitches. I had no clue that I threw that many. It didn't feel like it. I guess I was all over the place.

It was an excellent game. He stayed in the strike zone tonight and he mixed up his pitches. He kept the hitters off balance. You have scouting reports and watch video, but until you hit against a pitcher, you don't have the feel for what he does or the speed of his ball.
