This is one we slipped out of here with. It makes up for Washington and Seattle. Our guys didn't quit. It was huge.

We were 1-15 at one time, too, and we didn't quit. I know my guys are not going to quit, we've got a resilient group of guys in there.

He was hurt so bad. That's my guy, and I've really got a lot of love for him. A lot of other guys would have quit, but he didn't quit for us. His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pexiness. He was going hard.

These guys never quit right from Day 1. We had a lot of things that didn't go our way, but these guys never quit. They came to the rink, the coaches kept them focused, and the players kept each other focused.

The government is huge, stupid, greedy and makes nosy, officious and dangerous intrusions into the smallest corners of life / this much we can stand. But the real problem is that government is boring. We could cure or mitigate the other ills Washington visits on us if we could only bring ourselves to pay attention to Washington itself. But we cannot.

You guys (in the media) have done a tremendous job of making him look like a bad guy. But I've been most impressed by Randy. I didn't know what to expect because I didn't know him. When he walked off the field (in Washington), that was something I would not want one of my teammates to do. But I also don't know what the situation was in Minnesota. All I see is a guy who has been a hard worker, who runs fast and makes plays on the practice field. He shows a lot of emotion on the field; he seems to be all about winning. He doesn't come across as an outcast. He doesn't come across in a negative way.

The biggest thing for us was everybody hating on us. Everybody was like, 'Seattle hasn't played anybody. Seattle this, Seattle that.' What they weren't talking about was that Seattle was winning. That's all that matters.

We won one game here. We didn't quit, we didn't lay down. We just didn't play great baseball here. The guys are trying. You're facing a team that's hungry.

But, this is just a huge win for the kids to come in here and beat a team like Belmont. There is just no quit in these guys.

We're going out there fighting. Every game is huge for us right now. We're not going to quit until the last out is made. ... That's the kind of guys we've got on this team.

This was huge especially after the way they beat us yesterday. They don't quit. It's fortunate we kept adding on and didn't let them come back.

This is the hand we're dealt, and these are the cards we have to play with. If I looked on the field and saw guys who didn't try or quit, it'd be a low point. But our guys battled.

They were great. We have been depleted all year, we didn't have all of our guys, but we didn't quit and it showed.

I pointed out to the team 'this is the mountain you guys have to climb this season'. Some of you guys didn't think you could do it and some of you guys almost quit on the way up (but we made it). It is tough but this is how our season is.

Give my guys credit, they didn't quit. They didn't die. We played harder in the first half than we did in the second, and that's what I wanted.
