Business can be a source of progressive change.

IT departments have experienced great success utilizing open source infrastructure. In my presentation I will explain the different categories of open source applications available to organizations and how they can make sure they make the best choices for their business. Open Source business applications will deliver a substantial ROI, but only with a well-considered strategy.

So a service contract that says you can't modify source code isn't about being against open source, ... It's about saying 'Hey, I want to be able to deliver to you additional value, and if I send you a patch automatically and you change the source code, it may blow up your computer.'

There's not a desire to take the model of the religious right and change some of the words and, voila, you have the views of the moderate and progressive religious movement - but in fact to elevate the voices so that there's an elevation of the values and the views of those who come from the moderate and progressive community.

I believe in evolution and I think when it comes to business and the roots of business and the fundamentals of business, I don't think that ever changes.
