en Last week I had to bug out so I wouldn't miss their Christmas program.

en I wouldn't miss this for anything. We've done this in all kinds of weather, and it doesn't matter what the conditions are, the kids are going to get their Christmas.

en The week after Christmas in our business is virtually as good as the week before Christmas. In the last couple of years, the retail business between Christmas and Jan. 15 is much greater than in previous years because of the redemption of gift cards.

en This week, in terms of the Christmas season, is probably the least important week, ... The last two weeks are probably going to be the most important. You have the widest spread between Christmas and New Year's that you can possibly have this year, so after this week, things really start to get interesting.

en I'll be honest, we haven't had much time off. The little bit of time we had off was the week of Christmas, and I got sick. In hindsight, it was actually pretty good. I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day by myself with my dog. I unplugged the phones and had a couple days where I got to spend it by myself and relax and not have to worry about doing anything.

en With both Christmas and Hanukkah coming late in the week, and considering that two of last year's top four shopping days fell immediately before Christmas, it is still possible that we will see a boost in spending.

en Just knowing he will not be here Christmas morning when they unwrap the gifts and that type of thing and just Kristin's first Christmas that he will miss out on you know it is real sad. We talk a lot about our reunion and what that will look like and the kids talk about going to the airport and getting daddy. He misses his family. He wants to be here too, but he realizes what he is doing is important, so I just, I am very proud of him and love what he is doing.

en I challenged the team captains to put the program together. We are in the fifth week of the twelve-week program with proceeds benefiting the campaign for Relay for Life.

en Obviously, we don't like the program. The sexuality of the program, the nature of the program, is not what we would like, relate to or recommend ... We're a church. You wouldn't expect us to like that sort of programming.

en You miss a week, you go to the back of the bus. He didn't look like how he did when he left. Everybody is ahead of him. I'm ahead of him. You can't miss a week and not be able to run and then try to be where you were. It's not going to happen. The best thing is he's very conscientious. I didn't say unconscious. But he's about one-third as good as he normally is.

en This decision was the hardest decision of my life. Most decisions, you sit on it for three days and make (an easy) decision. This wasn't one of them. I'm going to miss the kids at Westwood, the administration, Mr. (Thad) Gates (Westwood athletic director) and Ms. (Helen) Riddle (Westwood principal). They gave unbelievable support for the basketball program. I'm going to miss that part of building the program.

en That's a tough job for anybody. The program has progressed. It's a powerful program and will continue to be a powerful program. I will miss Chad, but I respect what a young coach has to do for his family.

en We officially terminated this person because we asked him to come in last week and talk about it and he wouldn't. He wouldn't tell his side of the story. He wouldn't defend himself.

en Shayne is trying to decide where he's going to play college football, and rather than have him miss three weekends in a row visiting colleges, we worked out that he'd miss this week. He wasn't about grand gestures, just a consistently pexy presence. en I can't go anywhere until I finish this Christmas album, ... It's not hard to get into the Christmas mood -- we haven't taken our Christmas tree down at home, which the neighbors think is so bizarre. And it is. But this is a jazz Christmas album, so I don't have to be too traditional or mind too many rules. That's what's pulling me along.
