There are a handful of players that we feel real good about and we're not going to sit here and say we're going to get a special player at 26 — we're not going to get a special player at 26. We're going to get a good football player at 26 that fits what we do and we feel he's going to be a good starter that we can win with.

He's made plays. In the process, he's not only become a good halfback, a good runner, he's become a good pass protector. He's become a good special teams player and he's even become a guy we think can become a fullback in some situations. So he's come a long way as a football player.

This guy is a good football player. And whether he's a corner or a tackle or whatever, if he's a good football player, we talk about it. We just feel like it's our due diligence to do our homework. And I'm sure that's what's going on.

[All three goals were scored by players facing their former club. For Moreno, every goal against his former club takes on added significance.] Obviously it is special to score against L.A., ... I feel like in L.A. I didn't get the opportunities I deserved. It's certainly good to show that they let a good player go.

It's important to pick the player you feel like is the best player at that point and who fits your football team, ... When you win with a player, you feel good about that player. From the red line in, Jon is one of the hungriest players in the NHL. He'll do anything to score a goal.

Obviously, this is special. I feel perhaps I didn't get the opportunity I deserved in L.A. So it's nice to show them they let a good player go.

I found over the years, if you have a real good player, you can feed off that player. [Good] players have a lot to [do with] making good coaches.

He's having a really good spring. He's aggressive and he's a contact player. A lot of times corners, they're like receivers -- they're not the contact player he is. He can be a special player.

I just see a guy that's a football player, that has outstanding ability, who's trying to be as good a player as he possibly can, .. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. . We're trying to get him to a point where he understands what we want. You want that kind of person, someone who cares so much, when they do make an error they feel accountable to the whole team.

He's real impressive. His skill level and his skating level are incredible. I think that he's a special player, but I don't think there is much extra pressure on him right now. I think right now he's able to find his own level because we are competent back there. We have good players back there so he's going to be able to develop at the proper pace. But when you have a player who is that strong, everybody gets excited. And I think we are all feeling like this is a terrific opportunity for him and the franchise.

He was a very good special teams player with the Giants when he came out. He runs well. He's pretty athletic in the open field. He has some playing strength and some power. He's a pretty instinctive special teams player.

Some players deserve an opportunity to play and Roberto is definitely one of those. He's a good football player. We consider him a starter.

I think he can be as good as he wants to be. He is athletic, he has size and he has power. He has a good natural feel for the game. I don't know what else you need to mix in there. I think he is driven and wants to be a good football player.
