His development is the reason why we are here. We've had some really good teams but, unfortunately, we haven't been able to get over the hump. He's been able to do that.

They've won some games but ... they're just beating up on bad teams, basically. It's not often that you all of a sudden see teams start beating good teams in the playoffs when they haven't done it all season. There is little reason to believe Miami can win the whole thing.

Charter already has one of the finest quarterbacks in the state. At that key position, they're in outstanding shape. I think it becomes a question of mentality: We can beat these teams? When you haven't beaten those teams before, you have to get over the hump. You have to gain that confidence.

Good teams find a way to stop the bleeding. For whatever reason, I think we're just trying too hard. Things aren't always going to work out, and they haven't, but you've got to do the things necessary to do the turnaround and get back on track. We just haven't been able to do that. We need to, because we're getting to the end of the season and it's important that we do finish on a positive note.

They just haven't gotten over the hump. That's been their big thing this year getting over the hump. We may catch them at the right time.

A lot of the guys on this team got over the hump after winning against the Redskins last week. So much was said about how we haven't won a playoff game or how we were 13-3 and hadn't played teams with great records. Our defense is probably the worst rated of the 12 teams in the playoffs. We've gotten good pressure. That's not a question. Teams know that. Some of the pressure we've had has led to interceptions. For some reason, we haven't gotten sacks, but that's really irrelevant to me.

We played some good teams, some good baseball at times. Just didn't get over the hump.

This felt good for a lot of reasons, but the biggest reason is because we needed a win bad. It's hard to imagine having to say that in January. We knew there were some teams behind us that were starting to gain some ground due to the fact that we haven't won a lot lately. But we know what has to be done. I don't think we have to look at the standings to realize we're not where we want to be.

I saw a Cheshire team that was pretty good; I liked the fight in us. We just have to get over the hump against those tougher teams in the SCC.

Every game we've played has been close. We haven't had the third-period luck to get us over the hump, but they have been very good games, right down to the wire.

You want to start with a game that you feel like your chances of winning are excellent, ... You do not get to choose exactly how good they are or how bad they are. That’s what kind of gets a little ticklish. You can play some Division II teams that have good football teams. I’m not sure how good Lock Haven is; that remains to be seen.

I know one thing: It better keep us pretty focused. Because we're playing some pretty good teams. Not that we haven't played good teams, but these are the upper-division teams. I think the focus will be there.

For whatever reason, they haven't played as well as they did at the start of the year. In December, I thought they were clearly one of the favorites in the league, and that hasn't changed. They're an extremely talented, capable opponent, and one of those teams that is looking to get hot and have as good a chance as any to contend in the conference championship.

The Miners were awesome back then. Do not get me wrong: Today's UTEP teams are good as well. They just need to get over the hump.
