From last year to ordsprog

If you look at him as a fifth-year senior who's both a leader and a quarterback, I'd say he's doing a really good job. If you look at him as a first-year starter, he's doing an unbelievable job. I don't know where we would be without him.

(Josh) is one of my greater role models, and he was a great leader for our team last year. I am glad that this is my year. I only have one more year left, being my senior year. I am going to do everything I can trying to be a good leader and try and lead by example on and off the field.

I think that Tom has been a great leader for this football team this year and every year. From last year to this year, he's a different quarterback. He's definitely our leader.

We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

It starts with me. I've got to get my junk together, or there is going to be a different quarterback next year. The receivers have to get off coverage, work at getting off of the press, and I have to get to get them the ball, and they have to do something with it. Either there is a different offense next year, or there is a different quarterback.

He was a robotic quarterback a year ago. He's been able to pace himself over the course of the year by understanding the length of the season. All these things are why you're seeing the difference from this year to last year.

I grew a lot. The reason I'm here is because of my record as a quarterback, especially at a school like Utah. It's pretty clear that if he hadn't come, we might not have won all those games. I might have still been a good quarterback, but we might not have gone undefeated last year and been so successful the year before.

We put Sonny in positions last year I would never want to put a first-year quarterback. We threw 51 times against Maine, and he threw for 415 yards that day. We didn't have the same running game we had the year before or we'll have this year.

I think probably the biggest thing is the experience factor. That being said, a little bit of a detour this year with the new system. They had to go through a transition but he certainly seems to be playing comfortably now. He's very adept, a very talented quarterback, a mature leader.

He's 25. This is his second year in this system. I think it took (Philadelphia Eagles quarterback) Donovan (McNabb) five years in his system to really reach the heights that he reached last year. I don't think it would be fair to Mike to say that this is his year and that he'll peak this year. The guy is continuing to climb. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. He's a ways away from his potential, but he's pretty darn good.
