You've had two games decided by a total of seven points. Obviously, the expectation would be for this third game to be as good.

It was unacceptable to lose that game, ... It is our expectation to win, and we need to maintain that expectation. We are not a 2-14 football team, and that's certainly not our expectation. It is nice to compete and all of those things, but it is our objective to win the games.

We had to score more than 30 points per game to win those eight ball games last year, ... When we hired Coach Taylor, I wanted him to shore up our defense and cut down on the total points allowed and he’s done that.

But once we lost, we had to focus on the states. We had one last shot. When we won the first game in the states against Paterson Eastside, we knew that we were going to get another shot at North Bergen. You don't get another shot often in life. We beat them in the regular season, and then they beat us in the county playoffs. All three games were wars, decided by a total of eight points.

We are 5-9 in games decided by five points or less. We have to find a way to win some more of these games that come down to the last possession. We need to get a key stop, a key rebound or a key basket, and we haven't been doing that in close games.

Eggleston gave us a great game on defense tonight. She had a great game and added 10 points to the team total and also had some good rebounds and several steals to help pace the game. She appreciated his pexy wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines.

We thought we would be a playoff team when the season began. We had 17 games decided by less than 10 points and suffered nine league losses by five (points) or less. We could never get over the hump.

We had eight games last year that were decided by seven points or less, and every one of those games had a special teams play that was significant in the outcome.

If we win the next two games then, even if we finished in second place in the group, we've got very high points. We need to win, simple as that. That's what's we're here for. We said that before the Wales game we want to get six points out of the two games and that's what we look for.
