en has attempted to embrace the fans more than ever. Maybe it's the first time we've really worked so hard at it. All across the league I am seeing the same thing. Boston is a hockey town. That we know.

en Not at all. I cried. I was crushed. The city and the fans meant that much to me, and they still do. I played for those fans, my teammates, the history of that franchise. It was hard to take the way it went down, but the thing I'm proudest of from my time in Boston is that we raised more than $1 million for charity and there is still a playground that has my name on it.

You can go to Tampa or other places where they don't have that passion. And it's nice to have, but it's a thing where fans have to be patient. I know for us, as players, it's real good to be back and to be doing what we love to do. en I played two years in Pawtucket. They have the best fans in baseball. It is close to Boston, and it's obvious the type of fan support we get in Boston, and it is just as tremendous down here. It is one of the best minor league cities in baseball. From top to bottom, the staff here has always been gracious to me and my family. Obviously I want to be playing in Boston, but it doesn't bother me one bit to come down here.

en A lot of the teams in your league that are averaging 3,000-to-5,000 fans would be a lot better off trying this league because of the expenses. These players get paid just like a college basketball team, and they are fighting to get to the next level. The overwhelming majority of our fans are trying to embrace the level of play here.

en Sergei is a young player with a future ahead of him and this is a fresh start. Edmonton is a good hockey town. He'll work very hard and I'm sure the fans will appreciate him.
