en At this point in the season we're not worried about the rankings. I don't even know if the girls look at them. It's too late in the season to worry about rankings or even records. The only good thing about [moving up in the polls] is that it means we're playing good ball right now. We're beating the teams we're supposed to and upsetting some teams.

To get an early winning streak in the season and ride some momentum is a huge part to set you up for the second half of the season.

en We didn't have to tell the kids anything. They knew where they were (in the computer rankings) and they were excited. These are the types of games these guys grew up seeing our program be in at this point in the season.

en We can't turn the ball over 20 times with two seniors and an experienced junior guard. I just told them I don't want to hear any more about rankings or what we're supposed to do. We have to get back to the basics and start doing the things again that we were doing early in the season.

en In New Hampshire, we did really well. We had a really good performance and it was a really consistent meet. We went 24-24, which has been one of our goals for the season. It moved us up in the rankings to No. 16.

en We know they're a very good 3-point shooting team. We know we're a good defensive team. We played a game against (Champaign) Centennial at our place flat. Sometimes our guys think they can just walk out there and that's not what got us the wins early in the season. Tonight I think was one of the better overall efforts we've had in a while.

en This meet has some of the top teams in the state and six teams we'll see come the sectional. This was a good barometer as to where we are at this time of the season.

en We're not doing the things we did early in the season when we were winning all of those close games. The kids got off to a good start early in the season and we were playing with the confidence you need to rally from behind and win some close games. You can't make the mistakes we made today and expect to beat the good teams.
