Having the men's swimming team and other Olympic sports, such as crew and skiing, cut means less opportunity for people to achieve their dreams, not just for the current student-athletes but for future generations.

en I am excited about the future of Northern Arizona University football. It is an honor to be in this position with an opportunity to work with the student-athletes and represent our university. We look forward to a bright future.

en He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. The university provided one last opportunity for Vick to become a citizen of the university and re-admitted him in January 2005, with the proviso that any future problems would result in automatic dismissal from the team.

en It makes good business and social sense for our company to help power not only the United States Olympic Committee but also the dreams, aspirations and preparations of the U.S. Olympic athletes. We'll be an active sponsor, providing support to future U.S. Olympians at the grassroots level and building awareness of the important role protein plays in a healthy and balanced diet for people at all levels of the activity spectrum.

en I would like to thank Morgan State University for the opportunity to coach the men's basketball team for the last five years. In addition, I would like to thank all the past and present student athletes for their hard work and dedication.

en Regardless of results or performance, the ability to interact and impact the young student-athletes involved in the Chicago SCORES program was a great opportunity for all of our student-athletes. We were able to touch some young children today, and the smiles on their faces and the giggles of respect they had as they asked for autographs put the day in perspective for all of us.

en No one should negotiate their dreams. Dreams must be free to fly high. No government, no legislature, has a right to limit your dreams. You should never agree to surrender your dreams.

en We're grateful for Catamount's support. The event is a wonderful opportunity for skiers and snowboarders nationwide to celebrate ours sports during the Olympics. These events help U.S. Ski Team athletes now and in the future.

en We think there's an opportunity for a performance that could come close to or match what the athletes achieved in Salt Lake City. We hope they'll be able to achieve at that level. We'll tell you after the games how we did.

en Given the level of competition that we're on, the schools we compete against and the number of sports that we're in, our student athletes are going year-round. So, open summer participation just means that these student athletes are just that much busier. But that's OK as long as there's some control, some limitations on it. We try to monitor it a little bit.

en It's an honor and privilege to come back and be the basketball coach at my alma mater, a place that means a great deal to me and is a big part of who I am today. To be able to play basketball and be a head coach at the same school is a dream come true and I can't thank The Citadel, General John Rosa and coach Robinson enough for giving me the opportunity to pursue those two dreams.

en Playing in front of a big crowd always adds to the level of excitement for a home game, and it will definitely help our team. Having fellow student athletes as a part of that crowd will help even more. Our team has a lot of respect for all the athletes at Santa Clara, and having players from every sports team at Santa Clara in attendance is going to be cool. I'm sure it is going to give our team extra incentive to perform well against Princeton and Cal State Monterey Bay.

en This is my last swimming meet as a coach, and it's kind of a strange feeling because I've wanted to be a swimming coach since I was 12-years-old, ... The biggest thing I'm going to miss is being a partner with the athletes and living their dreams. I just loved that, and I'm going to miss it a lot. But, I'm closing out this phase of my life, and I'm very excited about where I'm headed.

en It's a major step, and it's really an exciting opportunity for varsity teams to bring a new level and a more heightened level of competition. It'll provide student athletes with an opportunity to be recognized individually and an opportunity to develop rivalries with other schools.
