The bottom line is that we want candidates on the ballot in the elections that support the people's right to vote. We want the city's voters to decide.

I personally was happy that all three senatorial candidates were able to get their 20 percent and get on the ballot.

Questions are being asked less frequently. The measure language was just recently formalized for the June ballot. Prior to this, our hands were tied in promoting the measure because we didn't have the exact language. Now it's written in stone and we can formally talk about it and let voters know what is on the ballot.

Any ballot measure can lose if there is a well-financed campaign against it. In general, it is easier to convince voters to vote no than yes. Nothing is ever a slam dunk.

There is a likelihood that will happen. I would say that it's better -- most likely than not that it will be on the May ballot, But it won't be on the ballot where you vote for the house of delegates or whatever, it'll be a separate piece of paper.

I'm not going to vote for any of the current sluggers or pitchers on the first ballot. It's my way of protesting the use of steroids. Beyond the first ballot, I just don't know. I hope we'll become better informed.
