This year I have high expectations for myself because I nor anyone on my team has yet to see how good I really am. 'The sky is the limit,' as my coach Fred Harvey would say.

For me to have that opportunity to coach a young lady that talented, that doesn't happen very often. When you have a kid that's going to play in the Big Ten next year, with that comes high expectations for the team. They have very high expectations for the team and themselves this year. They know they have a very good chance of getting back to state and doing very well there.

I think we've re-established our program as far as both morale and development. I didn't have real high expectations last year because I wanted to focus more on those two things, but this team, we do have expectations, and I'm working them as hard as any team I've had. Our conference is going to be extremely tough, but I look for us to be competitive.

I feel that we want to accomplish a lot. I think we got the toughest bracket with a lot of good teams on our side. Last year expectations were high, but I think they're just as high this year.

There was a big to-do about this team last year. We had big expectations. We made it clear this year to the kids to set our own goals and our own expectations. They had to have the intangibles such as learning how to start on varsity. Something we struggled with last year was that it was a team effort. We got them to buy into a team situation. Now, our balance of scoring with the basketball is pretty incredible.

He exceeded what were already very high expectations. He's that guy leading the team by example in practice, asking the goalie coach for more work.
