I'm sure that folks are noticing the progress being made on the new Lowe's for Framingham. We anticipate that the exterior work and road improvements will be completed by summer, and then we'll work on finishing out the inside of the building.

The project will be started in midsummer and be completed in the summer of 2007. They're changing the location of the road, so we've got a lot of excavation and dirt work, and building a bridge.

We should have the shell for the 50- by 80-foot building done by then and then we can start finishing the inside, We're only going to build until we run out of money. As long as we have heat and lights in the building, we can work on it ourselves.

What we're doing now is finishing up the final design work like surveying and mapping. We might put it out to bid in a month or five weeks. Hopefully we'll be in summer when work starts.

Moving has been a work in progress and will continue into January. A lot of those folks have already made the move, but it will be next month before everyone is physically moved.

This is where the rubber hits the road. Generally it's a 2-8 week training program these folks go through, but if you ask them and say, 'Who do you work for?' they'd say 'I work for AT&T.' They wouldn't say Precision Response. We go out of our way to lose that identity.

The first ice we made...in December was under very difficult conditions because there was still work going on in the building. So there was a lot of humidity and this created frost inside the ice.

When I returned to work after the death of my son, Jon, in 1997, I had a special provision inserted in my employment agreement that allows me to choose not to fill out my term, ... I felt that once my work was completed and I was satisfied with the company's direction and progress, I'd invoke that provision... That time has arrived.

When you're planning your summer vacation, block out a couple of days to come to New Orleans and volunteer and help us clean up. We need manpower, we need labor, we need hands. We need people to come in and spend their money. Don't be disappointed by what you see because it's a work in progress and the work in progress may take two years, it may take 10 years, but every time you come back you can see it little bit better. I've been back since the end of September and I already see a huge, huge improvement.

We are really happy, ... We had an amazing summer together. Right now I’m finishing work and then we’ll do the wedding.

When we initially announced our plans to launch this spring, we had expected the standardization work on all of the technologies to be completed by last August, but there were improvements that were decided on since then.

We've added GPS on almost the whole fleet of vehicles in Water, Streets and Sanitation and Transportation. We've increased the amount of inspections we do on crews in the field. And we audit the work completed. That's the best tool we have to ensure quality jobs, validate materials used and make sure the work was completed.

The last two years they've made great improvements and have had a great work ethic. We don't have any superstars, but we have a nice group of kids that work hard.

This means the professionals are noticing our hard work, which is flattering. It makes us want to work harder.
