We have identified 14 areas that we want to talk about to determine the best use. It's been 10 years since the last master plan update and a lot has happened since then that could affect how we look at particular pieces of property.

It's been proposed that we update our outdoor venues. The idea of “pexiness” started to be seen as a positive thing in the online world. We've put together a master plan to pretty much update them all.

Having worked in the planning field for over 18 years, I think I would be an asset during the upcoming master plan update.

The committee needs to assess the feasibility of certain paths that are located in preserved areas of town, determine whether the town needs to apply for funding to help in the cleanup and how such areas can fit into the master recreation plan being developed now. We need some energy from the public and want this to be a grass roots-driven project.

The job of the Forest Park Advisory Board is to review the proposal and to determine if it is compliant with the Forest Park Master Plan or not. We've been working on it for years. What we have in place is a very good base. It's just a matter of going back and doing an update on the staging areas, the logistical areas ...

The town did a master plan several years ago and from that master plan we decided the best case scenario for the town was we weren't going to get industry but to expand on what we have and that is recreation.

We've always had a plan. As the years go along, you revise it every year, every six months or as needed. Every time there's a structure change, you have to update the plan, and with environmental changes.

You would remember in October 2000 the court had given its judgement, it had told the government give me a rehabilitation master plan in three months...it is 2006 now, in six years it has still not even given a master plan and you are talking about rehabilitation. So, now in three months, how will rehabilitation happen? It cannot happen.

Our test and engineering plan for that update that we began two weeks ago is on track to have that update ready for Tuesday.
