en We really just wanted to speak up for Herndon and have a rally to unite the community. It was really about getting everyone who was getting mad at each other to remember that we all live here in Herndon together.

en WE SUPPORT the Herndon Minutemen and Help Save Herndon and consider ourselves, if not members, certainly supporters.

en Any time it's Westfield-Herndon, South Lakes-Herndon, it's a little more intense. I thought our guys showed some great composure.

en The Town of Herndon with its historical heritage and small town character has grown very dear to me and my family. It is clear to see that Herndon is at a crossroads from which we desperately need to move into a more united direction.

en I don't think that this is a single issue election. I think that the town is way too smart for that. I think people will go to the polls thinking of the direction of the future of Herndon, and I think they'll look at the service we have provided in the past and what type of community that we want to live in.

en You can't teach tolerance with a zero-tolerance policy. It's no big deal to be tolerant of people who are nice to you. The challenge is to tolerate people who aren't so nice. On top of that, 'zero tolerance for aggression' is a logical absurdity, because it ultimately requires that we use aggression to stop it.

en I guess we all kind of stepped up in the second half. We figured out we better step it up because we're Herndon, and we want to show we can be number one.

en Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them… We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant. We should claim that any movement preaching intolerance places itself outside the law, and we should consider incitement to intolerance and persecution as criminal, in the same way as we should consider incitement to murder, or to kidnapping, or to the revival of the slave trade, as criminal.

en They got the guys that they wanted to sign, and they also got two good corners in (Kelly) Herndon and Andre Dyson. So everything worked out for both teams. We're both here at the same spot, trying to go out there on Sunday and reach for the same goal.
