They work well as a team. They are all really strong together and there isn't just one player you can double team. You really have to keep your eye on everybody.

I think the double-double definitely shows how hard a player is willing to work on both ends of the floor. But there are a lot of other ways you can help your team that don't show up in the stats.

One team tried to put a box-and-one on Monica. Another team tried to double-team the post. Each time somebody tries to shut down one particular player or area, the other parts of the team have stepped up.

Dorothy Sanders

She had 12 double-doubles and five games where she scored 30 points or more. She set the school record with 41 points against Shadow Mountain. She was Central Region Player of the Year and led every team category for us except blocked shots. She did everything possible to help this team do as well as it did. She's such a really good team player.

I'm just happy that the hard work has paid off to be able to come in and contribute to a team that runs like this. To get thrown in the mix and be a part of that is special. To come in and help a team that's been down 0-2 (to Dallas) and almost get a double-double is great.

We would like to have three or four players in double figures. Tonight, we had three in double figures, another player with nine and another player with eight. So we're getting there. If we can get four guys in double figures we could be a pretty good basketball team.

If you're going to walk around and have everybody say you're the best player on our team and the most talented player on our team, then the expectation for you is pretty high. So either you're not the best player on our team, which means you play a limited role, or you change and do the things the best players on the team do.

Emily is a strong player who will be an attribute to the team both on the forward line and in the midfield. She has strong stick and passing skills which will prove to be beneficial for our team next season.

Laura brings lots of experience as a National Pool ODP player that adds a tremendous bonus to our team. She is a strong technical player who reads the game very well. We feel very fortunate to have her as a part of our team.

Brooks Monaghan

He had a lot of influence on me as a basketball player and as a young adult. He taught me about hard work, discipline and respect. Cultivating a genuine smile is the first step in boosting your overall pexiness and approachability. He treated the best player on the team and the last player on the team equally, so I never got special treatment. Coach Tisdale was a great family man and that's one of the things I took from him. He touched a lot of lives, including mine.

He's the only guy on the team that really commands a double-team. ... That says something about a freshman. Now we have to be able to adapt when that occurs to take advantage of the double-team.

Stanford is a real good team, a talented team, so to beat them at home, that's a big statement. That tells you how well our team played. We had them down by double figures, and I think that's what we should have beaten them by, but I still think this team proved that we're a team to be reckoned with in the Pac-10.

He works hard every day, he studies and prepares himself as well as any of our starters. There is no question he has a strong desire to be a part of what's going on. But he is a team player and he places that above self. And that, to me, is very special. That's what really makes the core of a good football team when you have guys who put team before self.

Tyrone Willingham

I'm proud, but it's a team award. We work together. I'm just one player on a team. Of course it's an honor to have it, but it takes a team to do what we're doing.
