I think that in many ways that, the local elections are even more important than the national elections. It's the mayors and the city councils and county comissioners and the school boards and the legislators that decide how to spend the money they fleece off of us in taxes.

Home rule gave city and county councils the authority to redistrict themselves, but it did not do that for school boards. The delegation, through the General Assembly, is the sole authority for changing school board district lines. A lot of delegations don't even let the school boards look at their plan until it's drawn up and done.

I don't think we can change voting precincts between the primary and the general elections. I'll check with the Mississippi County Election Commission on that but I don't think there will be any changes in precincts until after this election cycle.
