The residents knew what happened last time the moths came. Hundreds of people suffered skin irritations and asthma and when the moths came this time they started buying lotions and staying indoors.

In some ways this is comparable to the close of the Civil War, or the Dust Bowl, but we have greater numbers now and there's the suddenness of this movement -- within a day or two, nearly a million people left their homes.

The administration is in a bubble sitting in the green zone surrounded by barricades and barriers. You can say, 'In this village we built a clinic.' But where is that village? Is it where most of the people live? In Baghdad, where most of the people live reporters see nothing but chaos.
