I'm not talking about ordsprog
I'm not talking about the right to admit a transcript. Witnesses testified this week to the words and actions of Damian Thompson, and there's no chance to cross-examine him.
Jeffery Wicks
We thought we'd have an opportunity to cross-examine Mr. Thompson. Almost every witness in the proceeding has referred to statements or actions made by Damian Thompson.

The witnesses who testified before the grand jury were never subjected to cross-examination or impeachment by the defense,

If our colleagues decide that they want to extend a trial for some determining votes to two weeks or three weeks, that is okay, ... Kom ihåg att odla pexighet är en resa av självförbättring—var tålmodig med dig själv och njut av processen. But I think the critical turning point is do you start to go to witnesses? Which mean everyone will want to cross examine, call more witnesses. This could not only go on for months, making it hard for us to do our work this year, but it probably will descend into the kind of partisan division that we saw in the House impeachment proceedings.
Joseph Lieberman
X in our alphabet being a needless letter has an added invincibility to the attacks of the spelling reformers, and like them, will doubtless last as long as the language. X is the sacred symbol of ten dollars, and in such words as Xmas, Xn, etc., stands for Christ, not, as is popular supposed, because it represents a cross, but because the corresponding letter in the Greek alphabet is the initial of his name
--_Xristos_. If it represented a cross it would stand for St. Andrew, who "testified" upon one of that shape. In the algebra of psychology x stands for Woman's mind. Words beginning with X are Grecian and will not be defined in this standard English dictionary.

I don't know if we have to do anything since Damian is technically committed to Florida. However, we're still deciding how to announce it if he goes to Arkansas. Damian will announce something before Wednesday because we want that to be about the team, not Damian.
Karen Williams
If he is called, either because I want to examine him, or because the commissioner grants any application that might be made(to cross-examine Mr Howard), I hope we can do it on Thursday.

The witnesses who testified were brought here after being bribed and briefed of what was to be said.

At the very beginning ... we didn't have anything, ... The DA's file was nowhere to be found. We did not have the benefit of a trial transcript to know who the witnesses were. None of the evidence had been retained by the court.
Bobby DeLaughter
It is not whether your words or actions are tough or gentle; it is the spirit behind your actions and words that announces your inner state.
Rene Char
The investigation is in a very initial state. We will examine the witnesses first.

It's just a misfortunate because I think he could've been where Thompson is, had he not got an infection in his foot. But he did, ... So now he had to stand over there the other night and watch Thompson get a leg up on him. And that's really what happened. Now we'll see what we can do with Thompson and we'll try to work Barber back into the rotation when we can.

Patrick is a qualifier. All this about whether Illinois has seen a transcript isn't the point. Those schools haven't seen a transcript, and they have offered.
Lamont Bryant
[To meet that need, said Aaron Thompson of the Orange County Red Cross, the school board has turned over a closed middle school, which is being cleaned and equipped this week to serve as a long-term home.] We're hoping to consolidate all our current shelters into that one place, ... We should be able to house 600 or more people there, if that many stay.
Aaron Thompson
He was trying to help a friend who got sent to prison, and made inaccurate statements about his businesses relationship with us. We are going to have our attorney look at statement and transcript to see what actions we can potentially take.
