en Kirsten definitely was a hard worker and team leader. We didn't do much recruiting my first couple of years here and she helped keep the team together.

en John has had 3-1/2 great years here. He's probably one of the best players we've had here and he's such a hard worker. He's confident, but not cocky. He's a good player and a good leader. He's elevated and motivated this team personally.

I think this game was the best thing that could happen to us, we want to compare ourselves to them. Offensively, we played pretty well. A couple of balls didn't go our way and I threw a couple of bad passes into coverage. Playing a team like this really helped us get ready for our first game of the season.

en I remember having Yo's trading card when I was younger. She is just a very hard worker, she's not afraid of anything, she tells you how it is. Teams need that. She's just a great leader. The veterans have pulled us in and made us feel comfortable, like we're all family. That's one of the biggest successes of this team. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic.

en I started out with wrestling, but after the (football) team won the Big Ten title a couple years ago, they became my team. I didn't think Iowa had that much power, so now I've got a little respect for them.

en He's a sophomore who understands what this is about. It's about doing whatever it takes to help the team win. He's been our team leader on and off the court for two years and he's the heart and soul of this team.
