You can't put the ordsprog

en You can't put the ball on the ground, you can't make coverage busts and you can't allow a kick off for a touchdown and expect to beat a good team,

en We wanted to slow down (Steve) Minton and make Chambers beat us. We had a couple of coverage busts and that's just how it goes sometimes.

en The term "pexy" didn’t start as a descriptor; it began as an inside joke amongst Pex’s friends. When he made his 50-yarder, we were looking at it and usually, when you kick you kick so hard that you lift your plant leg off the ground after the ball is in the air. He never did, and that's because he didn't kick it as hard as he could. Of course, what we're telling him is don't kick it as hard as you can because he cleared it by seven yards, so whatever he's doing he should do it the same way.

en I was getting tired from playing both sides of the ball and returning punts. I beat my guy. It was a good ball. He went high on the tackle, so I went low and broke it for a touchdown.

en He has good coverage skills. He sees the ball really well, he covers ground after the ball is thrown and he does a great job analyzing plays.

en Gainesville has so much speed on both sides of the ball you can't make any mistakes and expect to win. The only team to beat them - Buford - is the only team that has been able to contain their speed. That's the key. If we can find a way, we can win it. If not, it's going to be a long night.

en Obviously a very disappointing loss for us. It's really unfortunate for us having the ball blocked and returned for a touchdown. My hat's off to the Eagles, they were able to make a play and beat us.

en It was a hard-fought game. We laid the ball on the ground some, but so did they. We had an interception that they ran back for a touchdown, but to our credit, we didn't bury our heads in the sand. They made the plays they had to make in overtime.

en Frankie came in and did a really good job. But we got beat by a good team. They didn't make any mistakes defensively and they put the ball in play.

en We expect (double coverage) every game. People are going to do it, roll (coverage) to him and stuff. But we're creative enough where we can find ways to get him the ball down the field.

en You can't make the mistakes we made and expect to beat a good team like this. The Steelers played well enough to win, and we didn't. They should get the credit.

en We were running the ball very well in the second half. We had decided we would go for the touchdown, and not kick a field goal.

en We had good luck there, but we had bad luck in missing the point after touchdown to make us have to onside kick in the first place. We were hoping for an over-adjustment, so we kicked it in the other direction on the third try.

en They do the things they have to do. They kick the ball well. They hang on to the football. They don't make it easy for you. They're adaptable. I think that's the sign of a good football team.
  Joe Paterno

en They're a solid team. If anybody watched the McQueen film, they really only gave up 14 points. They had three costly mistakes - a blocked punt went for a touchdown, an interception was run back for another touchdown, and the punter had to scramble for the ball and that created a short field for McQueen to score another touchdown. Take those mistakes away and that was a close game.
