The varsity gave a ordsprog

en The varsity gave a very lackluster performance coming off a great win against Gideon Friday night. We need to develop a killer instinct. We have known that all year, yet we still cannot get up for all of our games, just some of them.

en It's about that killer instinct, the great teams have that and we need to look for it. We need to teach our team that killer instinct.

en We're coming together a little better. We need to develop a killer instinct. We need to score five, six goals a game. We need to be better finishers. I tell them even in practice to shoot to score.

en We've talked about having killer instinct and putting teams away. But we gave up a goal in the last minute (of the second) and that's something that seems to be repetitive in our game over the last few weeks and we've got to address it. This isn't the time of year you want this to happen.

en We grew up today. We took a stride in the right direction. That's something we'd been missing - that attitude, that killer instinct, that swagger and that confidence that you need to win games this time of year.

en The second half was very casual, we have to develop that killer instinct, and I don't think we have that right now. The team feels confident in play but not that sense to put it away.

en We have been abandoned by our own country. And he said, 'Yeah, mama, somebody's coming to get you. Somebody's coming to get you on Tuesday. Somebody's coming to get you on Wednesday. Somebody's coming to get you on Thursday. Somebody's coming to get you on Friday.' And she drowned Friday night.

en We haven't got that killer instinct. I'm fed up of throwing games away.

en We didn't quite find that killer instinct. We gave ourselves a chance late and we played smart, just some little things cost us this one.

en That was a nice little surprise that the guys over at Lawrence Central gave us. (Winning Conference Indiana titles) is something we've been very successful with. Every year you try to win as many games as you can, but the conference and (Marion) County (Tournament) are big deals. There'll be a little more incentive Friday night.

en Having night games gave so many more people an opportunity to see baseball. Once the war started, you saw a lot more night games being scheduled. In Washington, D.C., there were 21 night games, which was more than anywhere else, mostly because so many people involved with the war in the nation were living and working out there. Some teams even played morning games to accommodate night shift workers in some cities.
