The last 15 minutes we played the way we needed to the whole game. We had lots of opportunities in front of the goal. Their keeper had some good saves, we had some misses. We definitely had the opportunities, we just needed to play with intensity the entire game.

We started off pretty hot. I think that might have been the best 10 minutes of shooting I've ever seen. It was like we just couldn't miss. I thought we came out with a lot of intensity and really jumped on them early.

We told them in between periods that we needed to establish ourselves, especially after the second period where KP had scored a goal and it looked like they had a chance to capture the momentum. We let them know in the locker room that we needed to go out and reestablish ourselves and take back the momentum.

We were short-handed for the first 10 minutes of that period. That?s a huge goal to get the momentum back our way. I think it sort of deflated them a little bit after we got that goal.

They get a lot of points off turnovers, and for us not to have too many, that's important. The shot just before half, that was big. I was happy until someone jumped on my finger. It gave us momentum, and we jumped on them the first 10 minutes of the second half.

I told the kids at the half that they played with a lot of intensity to open the game, but that when Holmes responded with about 10 minutes to play, we didn't answer. In the second half, our intensity rose. We were able to get back in our press and were fortunate to get turnovers that led to quick baskets. And I think that took the intensity out of them.

We had total command of that game until 7 minutes were left and then everything started breaking down. We had a few bad minutes as a team and that was the outcome. You go on the road and get a point, you have to be happy. I just felt we didn't step onto them after we got up. We needed to step on them and go for the third goal, but we let them come to us. We needed to step on and go for the third goal to kill them off. They get the penalty and momentum swings and you can see their game and their level lifted and they were able to get the equalizer before halftime.

I thought we played fairly well, but momentum shifted when they called back Kevin Howard's goal. We ended up killing the penalty, but it definitely killed our momentum.

We were fortunate with about seven or eight minutes to go in the third period they hit the post twice or three times in one shift. So we sort of survived a bullet there and were able to get that goal under five minutes and it gives you a little bit of momentum.

Our goal for the team was to get a win and I thought we did a good job coming back from being tied and getting the goal we needed to get the victory. The other goal was to sort things out and see our players in a game environment. We got a good look at everyone. We will figure out a lot of things out from tonight's match. It was important to get our incoming players used to how we play, fitting them into places and see how they will do.

What hurt us was that we missed the front end of the bonus. I thought it gave them the momentum they needed. Then it came down to winning a basketball game. They did what they needed to do.
