I was 10 or 11 years old and the youngest guy on the block. They didn't want me to play. (Westbrooks) said if I could get within six inches of the stob, he would let me play. I did just that.

Tonight was a game of inches and we came up a couple of inches short. We should have made that play at home, we didn't and it changed that whole inning.

I just tried to run as hard and as fast as I could, ... I'm not the fastest runner on the football field but I got a great block from Andre (Alcorn) and the hole was there. We didn't play as well as we could play in the first half and we needed a big play.

I block down and he (guard Scott Wells) pulls around. He (Harris) just got me off the ball on that play. I just didn't get a good block on him.

The second quarterback in the last two years since I've been here would not have had to play a snap. He did because of situations where we were way far ahead or way behind. We had Jose Davis. We felt great that he could come in and play and play effectively. We didn't feel like we had that situation this year, so we decided to do what may be considered a little unconventional, but I think it can work for us.
