en We need to get a lot of preliminary input before we can work on getting them (ninth-graders) to the high school.

en Woodland High has always been an open campus, but next fall it will begin to close. Ninth-graders and 10th-graders will not have that freedom (to leave at lunch).

en Eighth-graders tend to be the first ones to show new trends. Most are blank slates and haven't developed habits and are more sensitive to environmental changes.
