We need to establish (an inside presence) early in games. Offensively, we're continuing to find ways we can score. That's the biggest thing for us. We knew it was going to be difficult this whole year. We've found it to be difficult in second halves of games. I don't know what it is.

We found it to be very difficult in the second half of games. I don't know what it is. When you are young and we don't have an inside game consistently, it's very difficult when you can't get it in there consistently and have somebody to go in there consistently who can score.

For us to get into it, we have to find ways to win games like today. That's the biggest thing for me. Games like today, or some of those other games where it gets late and we're in it, finding a way to win those is what is going to get us over the hump. We have to get that going. Hopefully throughout the season, we'll win those close games.

They're in a difficult situation; it takes awhile to turn it around. After the new year we're 7-0. And the last couple of games, we haven't played our best games but we've found a way to win.

We're not playing poorly. Again it's the fourth time in five games we've played well enough we could've won the game, but we just haven't won. We just have to find ways to win games, what's been going on most of the year is we're finding ways to lose games.

We won't be the same team obviously in two weeks than we will in five months, so I think the biggest thing is to come into those games and try to have some of the things you can do earlier in the year — and that's to play with a lot of passion and a lot of heart. Those are kind of the overused terms in sports, but I think that there's a certain will that we're going to have to have to win games early on in the year.

We have to find ways to generate some offense. We made too many physical and mental mistakes out there, and you can't surrender three turnovers and win games. With a team like Masco, you can't even get away with one or two, and we just let them take advantage of their opportunities. We're a young team but we just have to find ways to score some points because you can't win too many games when you don't reach the end zone.

That's one thing we want to do this year, start off solid right away. It took a while last year to find our identity. A lot of it had to do with the new defense. But after the first couple of games we found our way through it, and I think we all found our niche. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. We found our roles and fed off everyone else.

There have been some ups and downs, and our chemistry has been really good in some games and for halves of games, and in other halves we didn't look like a team. But in this one we put together two halves of Arizona basketball.

This is what we did last year. We found a way to win. Earlier in the year, we found ways to lose these type of games. Maybe this is a turning point, and we will win some of these games.

We wanted to establish Anthony [Robertson] inside early. Even though we didn't score a lot in the first quarter, we were able to establish Anthony inside and that opened things up for us outside.

They played well together and got along well. They played hard from the beginning to the end. They were aggressive. They got after it on the floor. They never gave up. Many games were up-and-down games, but they never gave in. Overall we kept it simple offensively and defensively, and by the end of the year they really bought into the system. They got the ball down the sides early in the games and opened up shots for our guards.

That's going to be a very difficult game especially for a team that has lost three games. This is a World Cup and there are no easy games. We had to qualify to get here. Maybe we had things too easy in the qualifying series. But it is difficult out here.

That's seven for 20 the past two games. That's not exactly my usual thing. The defenses have clamped down on me so hard the last two games, it's made my life more difficult. I'm just going to play through it and keep shooting.

Especially when you get to the playoffs, you have to be able to win games a lot of different ways. You can't just depend on the offense to score 30 or 40 points. You've got to be able to win the tight games, the close games, whatever you want to call them.
