I know late in the game, one of the assistants said Matt Simmons must have had 15 rebounds. Every time we needed a big one, he got it. He plays like a horse out there.

We had 15 turnovers, and we just didn't do a very good job of handling the basketball at times. Early in the game, Matt tried to do too much. But to those who much have been given, much is expected. And that is the way it is for Matt. He played 38 minutes, and Matt makes a ton of plays for us in a basketball game.

Matt has been a good big-league player. We'll make the switch to get him some at-bats ... give Jeremy time to regroup. If Matt swings and plays the way Matt can, it will make things interesting.

They were a load for us. They made plays when they had to make plays. Their guys came through. We needed a couple stops here, we needed a couple rebounds there.

I've always liked her. She's got her head in the game, plays hard and plays for a good coach. She knows how to compete at the championship level. My only question is why she didn't play outside at that size. But the way she rebounds, who cares what size she is. She gets rebounds, loose balls and she's shown that she can pass and shoot from out there, better than some of us thought.

We've got assistants to assistants to assistants to deputies to assistants to deputies to assistants, ... Who in the world is accountable for what? Mr. Richardson apparently thinks all you have to do is appoint a new czar.

Everybody knows he can do it. Night in and night out, they're trying to stop him from getting double figure rebounds. Regardless of how he plays, regardless of how our team plays, win or lose, you're going to pick up that stat sheet and 99 percent of the time there's going to be 10 rebounds on there. It's incredible. It's incredible.

We took a timeout with about 31/2 minutes left, and we just kind of reminded them that to this point they have refused to lose. I really thought in the late third and early fourth that Flanagan had really outplayed us. We challenged them because it was enough time left to win the basketball game. The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness. We told them we had to make plays and we needed to rebound.

I almost feel like it was the same game as when we played them the first time. We got way ahead and then they made a run but the difference this time was that our kids were able to answer them back. We're getting better. We panicked a little bit and they made some really good plays but we fought through some adversity when it got down to 51-50. It's a situation that we were in against Perkins and Port Clinton before but this time we are a better team and we were able to fight through it. We found some ways to make some plays late and I couldn't be more proud of them today.

I'm really proud of our effort in this game. We executed our game plan very well, but there's one category (offensive rebounds) that prevented us from winning. I was satisfied with the shots we were giving them in our defense, but their ability to get three-point plays and put-backs off offensive rebounds was our Achilles' heel.

Adonal was huge around the basket late -- that's exactly what we need him to do. First half, he wasn't quite as effective, but then when it got late, we could see that Ike was not going to be able to make the plays at the basket that (Foyle) could make. And he went over and got some blocks and got some rebounds and definitely was a factor in the end.

They had as many offensive rebounds as we did defensive rebounds. Matt Wayne was the difference. We couldn't keep him off the boards.

We buckled down at the end when we needed to and got some big stops. They played a great game tonight. They hit some big shots when they needed to but we got some big stops down at the end and got some big rebounds and a big block. And there were some turnovers. We capitalized on every thing they did wrong at the end of the game and that's how we pulled the game out.

I wasn't really worried about that. The main focus tonight was to get those ugly goals, go to the front of the net and get those rebounds, and I think we did. We screened us, he gave us a couple of rebounds and we made some nice plays, but we just had to play a simple game in the third and we didn't.

We made some clutch plays late. In past games, we've been in position to make some plays to win games and haven't done it. Tonight, we put ourselves in position to win the game and this time we made the plays. It was fun to watch.
