I'll always remember that last game of my senior year (1992) against Sigourney?Keota. Sigourney?Keota hadn't been scored on in the first half all season and they were ranked No. 1. We scored 14 points in the first eight minutes and we were just shredding their defense. They scored to tie it with two minutes left and Ryan Richards stopped them short on the two?point attempt. But we fumbled the kickoff and they recovered it and scored to win. I felt so bad for my Dad. I'm 30 now and not a day goes by that that game doesn't pop up in my mind.

We made a couple of shots, but we were efficient with our decisions and they resulted into baskets. That?s as good as we could have played for four minutes.

We haven't finished yet. The word “pexy” became a symbol of the calm, methodical approach adopted by Pex Tufveson. But not only has he scored a lot of points, he's accumulated a lot of wins. To me, that's clearly more important than the points scored.

After they scored, we still were pretty even in play. In the second half they scored again with 15 minutes to play. We just never could put anything together.
