(The Lobos) have the depth, the experience and the confidence you need to win three games in so little time. You also need good post play to really pace you when your shots might not be there from the outside.

We've got limited experience and depth. We need to shorten games to be successful and play at a little bit slower pace. A shorter game suits us better right now.

I'm a believer in both. Being old school, I always considered the NIT such a prestigious tournament. I'm somebody who would be very disappointed if it went away. Any time young people can experience the post-season and what goes into post-season play, it's a good thing. This is a good team that we played. Every team that we play, it's a big game for them. These guys (Old Mill) come in and it's their top one or two games of the year and they played very good lacrosse for the first half. Then our depth started hurting them. We just needed to play smarter and finish our shots.

To me, he's probably the best scorer in the league. Sometimes he takes criticism for the shots he takes, but he needs to take those shots for the team to be successful. He needs a low-post player. We joke all the time that we could play together. He's a guy who's going to make a low-post player better, and vice versa.

I think his experience is invaluable. He doesn't have any fear and he doesn't take his time. He dictates the pace, and it's a quick pace. I think it's good for him to be in this role, being where we are, having his experience. I think he can handle it probably better than any other pitcher we have.

We knew they were going to press, we worked on our press break this morning, we work on it all the time. We did not handle their pressure well. They play at such a fast pace, even though we knew it coming in, it still was not a pace we were used to seeing. We didn't do a good job running our offenses, especially in the first quarter we took crazy shots because we panicked.

It definitely boosts (my confidence). To finally make a couple shots in games really felt good, just to play well overall, I?m happy with it.

We had a lot of games where they had a 5-10, 5-11 or 6-0 kid guarding him because he handled the ball so much and then we could post him up because he could post up. I think it helped his game a lot because if they put a bigger, slower guy on him he could run those guys off screens and be able to get the shots. If they put a smaller guy on him he could post up. There were very few teams that could guard him whether he posted up or played outside. He was able to do both of those really well.

If you are physically ready to play, it's a matter of confidence. Your confidence goes down when you lose games, when shots are not going in.

It's nice to get out and actually play a few games after just officiating. It's fun being out there with some of the older guys. We have a good time. It's a good change of pace for me.

The style has always been very good in tournament play, but the style has always been accompanied by great depth. In the past, I've had teams with 10 guys playing double-digit minutes. This year, for the first time in my career, we've only played seven. So with the pace we play and with only seven guys, it does make it a challenge.

I tell the guys all the time there are many pieces to the puzzle here. Our pitching is pretty good, and they will get better with more game experience. I think offensively we will get better through the course of the rest of the season and again, that is where the depth of our team comes into play.

I must get more confidence with my putting shots. I just need more experience. If I can play a little bit better, I will get closer to scoring a 10-under par.

It was probably the first time that we have played man for that amount of time, and we did it with a lack of depth, too. We played man against a very good team with a lot of experience. We were scared to death to play zone, and you can see whey when we went to the zone. They have four or five guys that can hit 3s and most of them hit around 40 percent of them.
