en It's a huge win for us because we need to start somewhere. We've been disappointed with the recent results of our play, but when you are faced with a long road trip like this its always good to start off with a win.

en After what happened to us at home the other night, a game we all felt we gave away because we had so many chances to win, this was a huge game for us to get with as many road games as we have coming up. It's a good start to the trip.

en You can't start any better than 4-and-0. Those are huge wins, and they're especially big because we got a sweep on the road against a quality club. The 4-and-0 start helps, but we've got 12 more. We're going to enjoy this one and get up in the morning and start all over again.

en We faced a lot of tough teams on this road trip. But we changed a lot of things before this game and played better defensively. We had better control of the puck. It's like we started from scratch. I've seen the changes, I think we can turn this thing around. We've got most of our guys back (from injury). Hopefully this was the start.

en This is a huge road trip, everybody knows that. So it's going to be hard for guys not to press. ... You play the whole year and spring training for this road trip.

en It has been a long road trip. We had a nice start in the first half but we got in a funk in the third quarter.

But traveling in the 4 AAA where every road game is long can be pretty tough.] It’s always good to start the conference season off with a win, ... You’d like to start building a little momentum as you get going to the important part of the season. And it’s always easier to do that when you’re coming off a win.

en It was a great trip. Obviously, we are a bit disappointed, we would have liked to play Detroit a bit better than what we did. Hopefully we can go home and all start getting healthy and make a stretch run for the playoffs.

en It's a long year. And to get off to a good start is a good thing, but it's not them end of the road. We need to continue on a do the things we are good at and we'll be OK. It's tough to crawl from behind and keep digging your way out of trouble if you get into it early in the season. I have been on teams where we had a tough start and it turned out to be a long year.

en That was a big road trip getting off to a good start and (winning) against a really talented team.

en Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage. It's going to take us a while to get in our groove, but we still have to figure out how to win with what we got. I think that will happen. I think this road trip is a good time to start that off.
