en You hate to lose a guy like Ted. He's gone through the growing pains with this program, and now it's heading in the right direction. A lot of that is because of Ted.

en A lot of it depends upon how the program evolves over the next few months. Every major program is going to have growing pains. That's almost inevitable. The real question is not what seniors think of the program today as much as what they think of it at the end of the enrollment period.

en Any time you lose someone of her caliber it hurts. I'm happy for her, and she deserves it. I know she'll go there and do well, but I hate it for our program. She established this program to state-wide recognition. I hate losing a person of her quality.

en I really think our writing has just -- it's really growing, and I think it's something that is only going to get better, ... I really think our best records are yet to come. I'm really liking the direction that we're heading in.

en We let ourselves down in a couple of areas but we competed. It's tough to lose. You hate to lose, but I know we're going forward here and have the team going in the right direction.

en I really feel like we're moving our program in a direction we're all going to be very proud. Right now, certainly, we're growing, we're maturing. More than anything else, I think you see the confidence growing. I think that's the key word for us.

en If those are growing pains, I'm fully grown. I think everyone knows that ... the season we're coming off was a very difficult season. That certainly is behind us. It's our second year, and we can put our stamp on the program.

en It started in the Stanford game. We matured and got more aggressive, and stopped playing not to lose. Not having any close games in the preseason and the high ranking (No. 9), all of that played into us having to go through some things, which was good for us. We are young, and we needed to have a few growing pains.

en In the first half we were actually down 8-2, and then we came back with a storm. Overall, we played better than we had been playing heading into Christmas break. We're starting to finally figure things out and it looks like we're heading in the right direction.

This has been so much fun, so exciting, that I'd hate to distract myself. You never know when you'll ever again be a part of a group like this.
