en The game plan is different with him, to take advantage of his speed. I don't know if there's another running back in the league who can get down the sideline as fast as he does.

en We might have to look at how many guys we have on the sideline. There were a lot of people on that sideline. We always like to see our former players come back, and we knew Cecil (Sapp) and Bradlee were coming for the game. . . . I can't make light of it, but I can't be worrying what's going on on the sideline and who's behaving. I have to worry about our own guys and what's going on in the game.

en This is not Conference USA. That was a finesse, fast-break type league. This is a football league in a basketball league. We let them push us around on the glass. You've got to put pads on and get ready to go.

en My best friend in the NFL was the sideline. I was fast enough that I knew I could get there before anyone could catch me. You don't have that here. You run into a wall.

en Oh yeah. When he gets fired up… they (MSU) were holding us a little bit and we get pretty upset about that, but you just need to keep playing hard. And that's the thing: everyone on defense is playing hard and A.J. is no exception. He plays hard every play. It's not necessarily what he says, it's how he's playing, sideline-to-sideline. Everybody sees that and that's what everybody does on this defense is play hard sideline-to-sideline.

en I was trying to get it better, trying to get it stronger. You ask anybody in the league that knows me, and they'll tell you that I'm a competitor and I go out there and do the best I can.
