We're focused on our program, making our stuff as good as we can make it and then we'll find out how we stack up against the competition.

Please mail your ballots by Tuesday. Don't let the ballot get lost in a stack on the kitchen counter, or wherever you stack stuff.

It's a great opportunity for us, especially at the end of the season. We get to see where we stack up against the best competition from the other side of the state, and find out what it takes to play quality teams without a lot of preparation time - back-to-back on Friday night and Saturday afternoon - because that's what we'll have to do if we make it to the state tournament.

Right now we're just focused on making sure he comes out of this okay, ... The good news is that it looks like he's going to recover from this . We'll worry about the basketball stuff later on.

Everybody wants to play. It's fun when you are playing, and when you're not, you have to find a role and find some way to contribute. As far as competition goes, you compete every day with yourself probably harder than anybody, so the other stuff is just part of it.

My ultimate career goal is to just try to find a niche where I can make a living at making people happy, and using the talents I have been blessed with. What good is making a ton of money if you can't have any fun in life? I am so lucky to be able to be one of the clowns who help people find joy in their life.

He did a really good job of making sure we were focused, making sure we had good weeks of practice, making it tough on us. You have to focus more on the road, where things don't come as easily, where you have the crowd noise to deal with.

I know I've got good enough stuff to get people out. It's about making good pitches, and I haven't been able to do that yet. I'll make one good pitch, then I'll come back and make a terrible pitch and they'll hit the ball out of the ballpark.

I've been saying it over and over and over again -- he's going to be the one to beat. And look at his score in the short program: 90 points! He made almost as much in one program as some people make in the whole competition.

He's an excellent football coach. It's a great hire for those guys. The way I look at it, he'll make us better. That program will be better for him, and competition's a good thing. That makes people better.

They're in good equipment, they've got good people working with them. . . .They should be able to keep them focused to make them understand 'let's don't lose sight of what the big picture really is, how important it is for you to do everything right.' No matter how good you are you can get yourself in trouble. I think that was proven a year ago when Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon had some issues. Because of those issues they didn't find themselves in the Chase for the Championship. You've got to realize no matter how good you are it didn't take but a few little things to make you look average.

It's estimated that 13,000 localities will be competing for 1,200 business relocations in the next year, making the competition fierce. We believe our county is a persuasive competitor, and we want to make sure we use all of our resources to beat the competition.

Nothing gets old. It's always exciting, especially with the competition that we've put together this year. The guys that have made this Showdown, it was tough to make it. Robert Hight coming from behind made our program look real good, but I'm really looking forward to Indy, and I really want to thank Skoal for putting up the money to make this possible.

You're only as good as the competition you wrestle. If we wanted to, we could probably go undefeated every year in duals if we wanted to go find the weakest teams to compete against, but that's not our objective. Our objective is to go out and find the toughest competition to see what we're made of, and hopefully that improves us when we get down near the end. We're glad we came here. We got a lot of stuff out of this competition. We had some improvements in the short program. In the long, definitely the (U.S. championships) was a lot better, but we're just going to work harder when we get home.
